Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist Pain & Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

Shoulder Pain
The shoulder joint is one of the most commonly injured joints in the sports field and accidents, or while sleeping, lifting, climbing, etc. Unlike other joints, the shoulder joint has a wide range of motion because of the characteristic of the “ball and socket” joint, and it is involved in daily activity even while walking or sleeping. It consists of three different bones and certain tendons and muscles (including the rotator cuffs), and it is surrounded and stabilized by a group of ligaments. When the spine is deviated, the shoulder joints overcompensate in an attempt to re-balance the body, causing mechanical changes. Unfortunately, once the shoulder joint is injured or damaged, it usually has a longer recovery time even with proper treatments and therapies. To correct a damaged shoulder joint effectively, it is important to determine how it has been impacted and which bone is misaligned in which direction.
Elbow Pain
Elbow pain is commonplace among those who play golf or tennis regularly. Aside from impact from a sports injury or an accident, micro-damages from overuse accumulate over time and gradually create inflammation in the joint. Once the inflammation level is elevated, it causes pain with burning or tingling sensations in the elbow joints. However, many people today experience pain or unusual sensations around the elbow joints that travel down to their forearm region due to the overuse of the elbow to wrist area from a sedentary work lifestyle.
Wrist Pain & Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
You may have already heard the term, “Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.” In the past, doctors found it difficult to find a cause of this syndrome. While several factors contribute to the carpal tunnel syndrome, overuse of the wrist joints is arguably the most common cause today. This can be attributed to the growing usage of modern technology, which unconsciously lends unnecessary tension toward the wrist, more specifically, the fascia. This tension creates inflammation cumulatively over time and eventually irritates the nerve (especially the Median nerve) passing through the fascia. People who have this condition report experiencing numbness and a tingling sensation in their hands and fingers. There is a specific way to correct the issue and relieve pain and tension by adjusting specific small wrist bones, which irritate the fascia in the wrist joint.
